Care and Warranty: 

• We recommend freedom's Outdoor Care Kit to maintain and effectively remove grime and build up.
• New teak arrives as a beautiful golden and medium brown colour with natural oils that make it water-repellent and rot resistant. It gradually transforms into a silver or grey patina colour as it ages and is exposed to sun, rain, and humidity. The timeline for aging and colour change will depend on the conditions in your outdoor space.
• During the first few weeks or months, you might notice oil spots, water spots, discoloration, or colour bleeding as the colour gradually washes out. This is normal and will subside over time. You can speed up the aging process and achieve a more uniform look by washing your teak furniture with a neutral soap and warm water and letting it dry in the sun.
• If you prefer to maintain the original colour of your furniture, deep clean and apply a teak protector when your furniture arrives. Use a cloth to apply an even coat of teak protecter/sealer and dry it in the sun. Depending on where you live, you will need to re-seal your teak furniture once or twice a year.
• Clean all spills swiftly with a soft cloth and a gentle water/soap solution.
• Avoid contact with harsh or acidic substances and chemicals, such as vinegar, wine, cola, citrus and oil.
• Reapply surface sealant products on a regular basis.
• Avoid conditions that cause water to stagnate or condense on the table.
• Move your furniture inside during extremely cold conditions to prevent cracking or warping. Protect your table with a quality cover in the winter months.
• Avoid exposing the furniture to direct sunlight. Extreme heat absorption may cause tension inside the material and damage the surface.
• Do not drag the furniture when adjusting its position.
• High pressure washers will damage the teak.
• Do not place very hot, cold or wet items directly onto the table. Use a trivet or insulating device between the items and the table to protect the table from damage and discolouration.
